CONCEPT
BAT B Accelerator Tower is a key component of a broader territorial strategy aimed at positioning Bizkaia as an international hub for entrepreneurship, innovation and technological development. Located in the former Bizkaia Tower in central Bilbao, the project transforms a landmark office building into a dynamic ecosystem for startups, corporates, investors and public institutions.
Promoted by the Bizkaia Provincial Council through Azpiegiturak, BAT has been conceived as a platform for open innovation, where emerging companies, established corporations and international partners interact within a shared environment designed to foster collaboration, knowledge exchange and business acceleration.
The project combines flexible workspaces, startup offices, corporate innovation labs, event and networking areas, and acceleration programs, creating a hybrid environment where entrepreneurial initiatives can scale while remaining connected to global innovation networks.
Developed in collaboration with PwC, Talent Garden and Impact Hub, BAT aspires to become one of the leading innovation hubs in Southern Europe, acting as a point of attraction for international talent and investment while strengthening the Basque innovation ecosystem.
Beyond its architectural transformation, the project represents a strategic infrastructure for economic development, linking local entrepreneurial initiatives with international markets and reinforcing Bilbao’s position within the global innovation landscape.
