CONCEPT
Sestao Bai Business Park is a public initiative created to promote economic regeneration and industrial diversification in Sestao, historically one of the main industrial municipalities of the Left Bank of Bilbao. The project forms part of the broader strategy led by the Bizkaia Provincial Council and the Sestao City Council to reactivate economic activity in an area strongly affected by the restructuring of heavy industry.
The development was promoted through the public company Sestao Bai S.A., jointly owned by the municipality and the provincial administration through Azpiegiturak, with the objective of creating a business park specialised in hosting industrial companies and services linked to manufacturing activity.
The project involved the urban transformation and preparation of plots for productive uses, including infrastructure, access roads and service networks required to support modern industrial and tertiary activities. The park was conceived to attract small and medium-sized companies, logistics activities and service providers linked to industry, contributing to the diversification of the local economy and the generation of new employment opportunities.
Beyond its economic function, Sestao Bai represents a key intervention in the regeneration of the Left Bank, supporting the transition from traditional heavy industry toward a more diversified and technologically advanced productive fabric.
